The Sacred Heart Public School was founded by the Society of The Oblates of the Sacred Heart (O. S. H.) as a memorial of the platinum jubilee of the Society in 1996.
The Kindergarten Section of the school MCM (Mar Choolaparambil Memorial Kindergarten) was given a separate identity in 2000 and named after the late Bishop Alexander Choolaparambil who founded the Society in 1921.
The Sacred Heart Public School was upgraded to Senior Secondary level in 2004.
The Sacred Heart Public School has been awarded with the prestigious and internationally acclaimed GISA – Global Innovative School Award 2019 for Innovation in Pedagogy. The Global Innovative School Awards ceremony was held on Saturday November 23, 2019 at the GISA Gala at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus.

Inaugurated Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) in the campus to promote technical skills to students. Atal Tinkering Lab refers to space where the children can experiment with, learn, develop and conceptualize different scientific ideas. ATL is an approach of Central government of India to create an environment of scientific temperament, innovation, creativity amongst Indian Students. It is a step towards a new India. Since the last few decades, our education system has seen a paradigm shift. This approach inculcates Hands on Methodology in the current education scenario. ATL lab would teach students essential 21st-century skills which will help them in developing their professional and personal skills. Skilled India is the need of the hour and each step taken this dream should be welcomed and we should work towards it together for a better India.
We have three application rounds for the Class of 2020 (matriculating fall 2018): September 6, 2017, January 3, 2018 and April 2, 2018. Students applying through the 2+2 deferred admissions process must apply in the 2+2 Round by April 10, 2018.
